Reflection. Changes/ Challenges

Throughout the production of my magazine, I have had to change my ideas, design layouts and other aspects of my magazine.
For example, on the front cover, the image of my model had to be changed so that the image was big enough and would fit on the page. My original intention was to use and image if her standing up with a guitar, but ii was brought to my attention that the image would be far to small. This led to me changing the image to something that would be bigger and have a better fit on the page.

Another Challenge i had to overcome was my font usage. For the main feature, because the font of the heading is rather curly i have to alter the size of the font. my original intention was to have the first 'S' drop down the page, but due to the amount extra curls on the 'S' I could not have the drop down 'S' i desired.

One of my main challenges I had to overcome was the usage of the colleges software programs such as InDesign and Photoshop (Cs3). As i have never used either of these programmes before, At first i found it very difficult to use either program . I overcame this by using Youtube for tutorial videos on how to use the programs and i found this an effective way of learning.

Another challenge/ change i had to make to my work was with regards to my contents page.I had allot of trouble with getting my words to run down the page. I tried to use the text wrap tool on InDesign but then my titles and subtitle ended up being overlaid by my images. In the end I had to manually position the words by using the space bar and altering the font size.
